Custom Dressmaking and Apparel
If you're looking for a talented and creative expert designer and seamstress, Stephanie is it! She had made several pieces for me, including a custom dress for me for a wedding I attended (she helped with everything from finding the perfect fabric, determining the perfect silhouette for my petite frame, and creating multiple samples to ensure that the final piece would be perfect (it was!)). She has also made a silk slip and 2-piece silk sleep set, and a couple of silk camisoles. Our next project with be a re-imagining of my 25 year old wedding dress--I can't wait!

Love, Stephanie created a custom Christmas dress for my daughter. Stephanie was so easy to work with, we emailed back and forth before the initial appointment and I sent her some screenshots of my ideas. During our initial fitting she had a mock up created based on my daughter's measurements. Stephanie was so sweet with my daughter, checking in during the fitting and making sure she liked the cut of the dress etc. We had an event so my timeline was strict and Love, Stephanie had the dress ready and pressed as promised. The actual dress was so beautiful, Stephanie took my ideas and had great suggestions to make the dress even better. The dress fit perfectly, the craftsmanship was amazing and my daughter loved it! Stephanie had a bit of extra silk left over and made a matching hair bow! We were so happy with the whole experience, if I ever need custom clothing or alterations, Love, Stephanie would be my first call!

Where do I start about the amazing things about Stephanie and her work! I've seen her creations and her creative approach to things. Stephanie totally saved the day when my wedding dress ended up being two sizes too big, the pockets were completely wrong and the belt was too big as well. (The original seamstress was in too much of a rush to get out of town and basically dumped my dress on me.) I called Stephanie and she altered the dress within 24 hours, and it fit like a dream and you would never have known that there were additional seams taken, her work is flawless. And she's a lovely, classy human being to boot! I highly recommend her work and have referred friends to her knowing that her work is of highest quality - they've been pleased as well!

I found Stephanie when searching for a seamstress to alter my two-piece Berta wedding dress. Stephanie was quick to respond and super knowledgeable. I met her at her studio to discuss what needed to be done and to see if she had any suggestions. I instantly loved her (& little Miss Gidget).
The skirt was really long (I could wear it as a dress by itself) and in my opinion was a bit boring. I even toyed with the idea of finding something else. During our meeting, I mentioned my lack of excitement for my dress, but Stephanie encouraged me to stay with it. She said she could make it fit and with a few minor adjustments, it could be lovely.
She suggested bringing up the front and tapering towards the back to make a small train. I loved the idea! She also said she had an idea for a bustle to give it some flair. I decided to just let her run with it, and I was so happy I did. She did an amazing job on my dress and it was because of her talented creativity.
She also surprised me and made a mask out of the extra fabric taken off the bottom. I loved her work and style so much, I recommended her services to my friend, who was officiating our wedding for her dress alterations.

Everyone knows about the fairy godmother in the story books. Well, I bet you didn't know that she actually exists. Stephanie brought a fantasy in my mind to life! Not only did she take in the waist, add some lining to create a more sophisticated silhouette, but she listened to my crazy ideas and created a one of a kind masterpiece for my reception. I had the most beautiful gown, but was struggling with how to have it bustled. The lace and beading made this dress so heavy that a traditional bustle would never be able to hold the weight. The cathedral train made it very difficult to gather the fabric into an attractive form. I had always loved the idea of a mermaid style gown with an overskirt but fell in love with this dress. After some thought, I discussed my idea with Stephanie to use the train to create a faux overskirt. This custom bustle consisted of over a dozen connection points. It was an engineering marvel and came out so beautifully. The carefully placed loops and hooks distributed the weight of the train across my waist and the beauty of the lace was delicately draped as a skirt to showcase the intricate lace and beaded details. I am confident that no other person could have listened with such detail in order to create exactly what was in my head. She cares so much for each of her clients and truly wants to make dreams come true.

Learn to Sew
Stephanie is a talented, experienced and patient sewing instructor. Stephanie graciously offered to teach me to make a kimono-style design we talked about one day. Together, we picked out a pattern and gorgeous fabric, along with everything we needed to make the kimono top. I have taken sewing classes before, but have never had an instructor take the time Stephanie took to explain every step from beginning to end. Stephanie coached me through the entire process and I now have a beautiful kimono top, that I can proudly say I made, and will wear for years to come. Stephanie is inspiring and passionate and was born to sew. I am so grateful she shares her gifts with others through instruction. I highly recommend her!
